Kalamon is the original name for the Kalamata olive, which is regarded as the king of Greek table olives. They have a deep purple colour, tight and shiny skin, a distinctive almond shape, and a meaty texture. Kalamon olives are traditionally preserved in red wine vinegar to give a rich, fruity flavour.
Sunita jumbo Kalamon olives are hand harvested to avoid damage to their delicate skins.
Enjoy as an appetiser on their own or serve as a starter with Sunita tahini and pitta bread. Add to pizzas or to pasta and noodle dishes or use to prepare delicious home-made tapenade.
